The wine Quinta do Noval Vintage Port from the Douro wine region was the best positioned Portuguese wine of the list, in the 53th place with 98 points. Kim Marcus says this wine” offers the vivid plum, boysenberry, cassis and a\u00e7a\u00ed berry fruit profile of the vintage, along with a dark edge of tar, baker’s chocolate and salted licorice that courses underneath. The long finish lets the fruit play out, keeping singed alder and chai spice hints in the background. Smolderingly seductive.\u201d The remaining winners, from the Douro region, are the Quinta do Vale Me\u00e3o 2016 in the 56th position and the Wine & Soul Douro Manoella 2017, in the 98th position.
