A cerim\u00f3nia aconteceu na noite de segunda-feira em Londres e reservou o primeiro lugar para o produtor argentino Zuccardi Valle de Uco. O top tr\u00eas fica completo com a Bodega Garz\u00f3n, no Uruguai, e o produtor R. L\u00f3pez de Heredia Vi\u00f1a Tondonia, em Espanha. A Quinta do Crasto n\u00e3o \u00e9 a \u00fanica refer\u00eancia portuguesa numa lista composta por 50 produtores \u2014 a Quinta do Bomfim, tamb\u00e9m no Douro, figura no n\u00famero 37.\u00ba \u2013, mas o lugar que lhe foi destinado \u00e9 bastante tentador, posicionando-a \u00e0 frente de produtores de renome como a Robert Mondavi Winery, na Calif\u00f3rnia, que surge na 12.\u00ba posi\u00e7\u00e3o (foi considerada a melhor dos EUA). A quinta francesa melhor posicionada diz respeito ao Ch\u00e2teau Smith Haut Lafitte, que ficou em 16.\u00ba lugar.
